Smead Rotary Files are a unique back-to-back records storage system that rotate for quick and easy access from one to two sides. Designed for flexibility, cost saving and security, Smead Rotary Files are the efficient alternative to lateral filing cabinets. One Smead Rotary File can hold the same number of records as three 4-drawer lateral cabinets while using as little as one forth the floor space. Smead Rotary Files make the best use of office space because you do not need to allow for open drawers. And, the rotating feature allows access to twice as many files from the same side. One 8-tier unit stores 384-inches of files which is equivalent to 12 lateral file drawers and utilizes about (6) square feet, compared to 27 square feet for three lateral files as demonstrated above.
